Timberland Goes Beyond the Boots

Billionaire Boys Club, Timberland partner on new Bee Line collaboration.

Celebrating the resilience of surviving in the city, Big Apple streetwear label Billionaire Boys Club and iconic boot brand Timberland have teamed up for the launch of their new Bee Line collection, their eighth collaborative release commemorating the cultural impact of Timberland’s classic 6-inch boot.

Now available at Public Lands, the collection includes apparel, footwear and accessories inspired by Timberland’s outdoor heritage—an ethos consumers are finding as at home in the city as on the trail.

With uppers made of Silver-rated Better Leather (an environmental-friendly ranking bestowed by the Leather Working Group) and TimberDry waterproof membrane, the footwear is a fresh take on 2020’s first Bee Line/Timberland collab. That version’s 6-inch rubber toe waterproof boot has now been extended to include women’s sizes (6-10) and a full range for men (7-13). It’s available in three colorways: electric orange, tonal green and ink black.

Apparel and accessories in the collection include a high-pile Fleece Jacket made of 100% recycled fleece with a ’90s-style geometric blanket pattern; logo hoodie and long-sleeve graphic T-shirts refurbished in new colorways; and knit balaclava and suede fanny pack. The collection is offered in sizes XXS-XXXL for all-gender appeal.

The collection is also turning heads with its promotion, featuring a special video campaign starring New York City OG and music artist Jadakiss—known for his personal Timberland boot lineup—and NYC-native and multidisciplinary creative Aurora Anthony. The campaign celebrates the connection urban dwellers have with the Timberland boot—which, to many, represents the grind and dedication it takes to make it in a big city.

Set in a classic NYC pizza shop, the video showcases the characters you might run into in the city—all eager to get the “Bee Line Special,” a play on locals’ knowledge of underground secrets only true New Yorkers could know. Wearing his Bee Line/Timberland kicks, Jadakiss bestows aspirational gems upon the emerging creative, Anthony, as they exchange an impactful inner-city conversation.

The collection was released on Feb. 18 at Timberland and select retailers like Public Lands.
